Detailed description of Royce Brook Golf Club, The East Course
Royce Brook Golf Club is 36 hole golf facility located in Hillsborough, New Jersey. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses, they are The West Course (Private)ranked in Golf Digest's Top 20; and the Public, parkland East Course routed through abundant forested areas and wetlands, and rated 4 stars by Golf Digest.
The East Course at Royce Brook Golf Club first opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by Steve Smyers.
$101 (cart included), played on Saturday, May 2008 at 6am
This was my regular course. Played it 10 times last year and 15 times the year before. The price has gone up to 115.00 with absolutely no return on investment from the golfer perspective. The staff does not know how to deal with exceptionally slow golfers (especially considering it was early on saturday morning). Round took 5:15. I resolve that this was my last round at Roycebrook.

A challenging course, greens require precision putting. Pace of play very slow with no help from ranger. Foursomes in front of us that could care less about etiquette . That mixed with expensive pricing doesn't make it a great experience. I would play again if offered a good deal online.
